What kind of communication / control is possible?

The connection varies depending on the control method and the type of robot.

Universal robots has a connector called "Tools I/O" at the tip of the robot. This connector provides power and control signals, but the control signals available in the series are different.

e-series: Supports both communication control and I/O control.

CB series: Supports I/O control. If you want to control communication with the CB series, connect the standard cable (accessory) to the robot controller.

Connect using a dedicated cable or a standard cable.

e-series: Using Tool I/O
Communication control and I/O control can be available.

CB series: Using Tool I/O
I/O control can be available.

Using the standard cable. Connect to Power on the terminal block of the robot controller. Connect to the USB port of the robot controller with the USB to RS485 converter.
