The ASPINA low-profile in-wheel motor CAIW series provides battery-driven undercarriage unit solutions with high-efficiency and high-durability brushless DC motor electric wheels and dedicated drivers. CAIW series contributes to solving problems such as labor shortage and aging workforce by automation and labor saving through integration into/replacement with various robots and transportation equipment such as autonomous robots that contribute to automation and labor saving of transportation and electrically assisted carts that cooperate with human movements.
ASPINA's lineup of low-profile in-wheel motors are available for various applications such as electrification of carts and drive units for AGV/AMR. Space-saving by incorporating the motor into the wheel; the Φ200 model has a width of 128.5 mm and the Φ150 model has a width of 73 mm, which is about the same width as the caster of a normal cart. Each model comes with a dedicated motor driver, so the combination of a controller and a battery can realize electrification.
ASPINA low-profile in-wheel motors are 128.5 mm wide for the Φ200 model and 73 mm wide for the Φ150 model, about the same width as an ordinary bogie wheel, and have a low-profile structure with a brushless motor built into the wheel to solve the problem of space-saving undercarriage.
In terms of high durability, the Φ200 model has a load capacity of 250 kg per motor and the Φ150 model has a load capacity of 180 kg per motor, thanks to the optimal shape and robust mechanical design. The Φ200 model incorporates a gear mechanism and electromagnetic brake. The Φ200 model is equipped with a fail-safe function that activates the brake on the wheel side even in the event of power loss.
